The purpose of the Building Safer Communities Project is to work collaboratively with community partners to provide culturally responsive support to youth at risk of engaging in violent interactions. In partnership with Roots Community Services and Victim Services of Peel, Indus Community Services will provide psychoeducational workshops to South Asian and racialized youth and parents focusing on the prevention of gun and gang involvement by incorporating creative arts and activities within workshops, delivered in the community and in Peel-District School Board schools.
