Newcomer Services

Starting a life in a new country can be challenging in many ways. Most newcomers don’t know where to begin or who to turn to for assistance. Indus Community Services has over 40 years’ experience in guiding newcomers through a maze of settlement, employment, education & training, housing, health, documentation requirements and financial related questions that first come to mind.

Our settlement services include information about life in Canada, orientation, English language training with childcare, employment support, as well as Community Connection programs for all newcomers. We also support international students, refugees, and naturalized Canadians. Our services are free of charge, and are culturally and linguistically responsive.

Our staff speak a variety of languages including Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu, Arabic, Dari, Pashto and Gujurati. Our programs are inclusive and welcome individuals of all faiths, gender, ethnicity, and sexual orientation. We will be there for you every step of the way to ensure your settlement journey goes as smoothly as possible.
