Community Connections
The Community Connections Program at Indus aims to build bridges between newcomers and communities to create inclusive spaces and support shared understanding. It aims to enhance the ability of newcomers to integrate and successfully settle in their communities.
Our program will match you with a local volunteer mentor who will help you:
- Expand your social and professional network
- Learn about Canadian culture
- Learn about your community
- Improve your communication skills
- Learn about services and resources for newcomers
- Learn about Canadian systems (ex. Education, Health, Banking, Housing, Transit)
- Have someone to help you answer your questions as you settle in Canada
If you are a newcomer to Canada, this is the program for you.
The program is available free of cost in Mississauga, and Brampton.
